Carpet guy came to measure back bedroom

So we are back to painting the house in Walnut Creek.  Unfortunately, I decided the end trim should not be painted dark brown but the same color as the siding.  It would have been a lot easier if we had sprayed them,  but I'm sure it's the right decision, even though we now have to hand paint the corners.  Bruce worked on that and the dark trim around the front window.  That all requires the use of the extension ladder which is very slow going.  I did the trim around most the windows in the back of the house and started around the garage doors.  Got one finished and part of the second one.

The hardest part of the trim work is the little outer edge of the soffit.

When we had new carpet put in a few years back, we didn't have them do the very back bedroom.  At the time it was my sewing room and we were going to put hardwood in there.  Well, I moved into the family room with my sewing before we ever did the flooring.  You can imagine what 34 year old green carpet must look like.  Egad!  Pad was gone.  So we ripped that out and will put back new carpet.

We're hoping to be done up here by the first week in August.  We would love to see some of our friends before we go.  Unfortunately, I don't have anything to cook with here nor the time to organize a visit.  If any of you have time to go out to dinner with us, please call and let's set a date!  By 4:00 we're both pretty well beat and ready to quit for the day and would love to have a nice visit.
