Take down fixtures in hallway
Scrap ceilings in Hall and Hall closet
Move boxes into Spare Room
Put up Hooks for towel in Master Bath
Vacuum all rooms
OK, now we can see at a glance what we did each day. Suppose I should write down what we ate...because we can never remember that either. :) You know you have to wonder if we're too old to remember these things from day to day...are we too old to be doing this?
Talked to Alissa today. She and Kate (her sister-in-law) went into the town of Lake something or other and she had phone reception for the first time. She's enjoying the pond and meeting Nick's extended family.
I believe that is going to be the last of the ceiling scrapping for awhile. FYI, using a steamer on popcorn ceilings does NOT work. Our current plan is to work on the back end of the house first. Bruce did mention getting the back of my closet sheet rocked, so the steam from the shower doesn't penetrate my closes. The idea of accessing your closet from both sides seems like a good idea, but not really.

Me Scrapping away and the scrapped hall ceiling. It will get another light scrapping tomorrow. Below is the hall closet. It's deep enough for a washing/dryer, but they had all these built-ins in it. Plus there is no water, gas or electricity in the closet. I'm still rooting for a full laundry room addition! :)
Kaya, is always curious as to what we're up to. Try hard to keep her out of the messy areas so she's not licking ceiling gunk off her paws. These are the welcoming flowers Alissa got me. Have them up on the mantel. I was thinking we might keep the mantle, but not the wood panels behind it (up to the ceiling). Unfortunately, they liked to set their hot fire poker on it. There are actually burnt clumps on it. Very strange.
