Made room for a Car in the Garage
Set up Radial Arm Saw
Put Dining Area back together
Prepped 4 of 9 Window Sills
Cut lower shelf for Pantry

Doesn't sound like a lot but it sure feels like it.   I'm so glad to get going on the window project.   Had to take out the sheet rock sills and metal edge. Getting the wall sheet rock leveled and ready for Bruce to make wood sills.  I was surprised at the rusty nails and metal trim piece on some of the windows.  To me that spells water leakage.

 

Tonight after dinner we're going to Lowe's to buy some wood for the window sills and a piece for the skirt.  Just to get an idea of what we want.    After all the wood sills get cut and put in, we can order the windows!  Yea, to actually have all functioning windows!!!!  Especially the door slider in the family room.  What a treat it will be to be able to open it and get a breeze.

 

Had to work on a starting spot to pry up the metal edge strip.  Getting those first nails out was a bit of a challenge.

Some windows were very yucky.

Bruce's garage is looking good too.  He's decided to use his wood topped rolling cart he made 40 years ago for his work bench.  Just until he has time to figure out the best layout.   Have to tell you about his "cart".  Not really a cart.  When his parents took out their metal kitchen cabinets, Bruce took two of the uppers.  He bolted them together upside down so the handles where at the top.  Then he put wheels on them and a 1 1/2" wood top.  It's been a great work area all these years.  I have a very clever hubby.
