REMINDER: What appears on the blog is between you and me. NEVER mention the blog to Bruce. Although he suggested it, he hates when people ask him about specific things that they read on the blog. You can ask "how's it going" or "what are you working on now", but no specifics. This reminder will appear every month for those who are just beginning to view the blog. Thank you.
Each day we are getting more and more things unpacked and put away. It's very hard for me to want to get things "set-up" for living when I know we have to move everything again to work on each room. But it does make it feel more and more like home.
Bruce filled 5 5-gallon buckets of salt from the old water softener. We think they just dumped all the salt "they" (selling realtor) found in the garage into it. Not knowing anything about softeners, we're not sure. But it seemed like a lot of salt. One of these days we need to figure it all out.
Something else we discovered, under the terribly dirty hardwood floors in the dining area is rather nice looking oak. Now that Bruce cleaned a spot, we need to do the rest of it. Even though it will get torn out when we redo the kitchen.
