Cough, cough, cough. Chills, fever, chills. What a week. Between the two of us we feel like death warmed over.
But through it all we've managed to keep working a bit each day.
Monday saw the last of the flooring go. I was bound and determined to get through it all. Except for an hour from each Bruce and Nick I managed to get it all done. Still have to get some of the black adhesive off. Bruce thinks a sander will work on that. Only have one bruise to show for the whole thing. The plain concrete is where the old cabinets were. The black is the adhesive on the floor. Still haven't figured out the spray painted area on the walls behind the cabinets.

Bruce had one leak in the plumbing; of course it was the worse possible area to repair. I have a nice copper sculpture on my desk of the part he had to remove and redo. But for the most part the plumbing is finished. Drywall is up in the garage. Washer and dryer are both hooked up and working. Needing clean clothes is always a motivator.
Today, Wednesday 20th, we put up the temporary walls to enclose the kitchen. Hoping that this will cut down the dust throughout the rest of the house. Going to make getting in and out a challenge but will be well worth it. Tomorrow we can start removing the rest of the sheet rock. Bruce still needs to get the loose insulation cleared in the attic so we can open up the ceiling.
