Chair Rail Off
More Termite Damage
New Furnace Motor
Bruce didn't want to get into any of this before the inspector came to check out the windows. My fault for wanting to get my sewing room and dining area painted before putting back all the furniture. Wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't run into so many complications. We have another 2 weeks before the windows get here.
Another 2 weeks and I'll be driving up north. YEA!!! It's Selma and my birthday trip to PIQF. We're adding an extra night since it will take me 6 hours to get there. Will miss our hour drive together, but we get a whole extra night!
Back to reality. Today we finished touching up spots that needed more spackling. I washed down the ceilings and all the walls. We clean up all the dust we could. Bruce decided to rip out the baseboards in the dining room and around the entry way walls. Of course that stirred up more complications. We thought the caulk around every piece of wood work was bad..... when they set inn the tiles in the entry way they used cement rather than grout. And the cemented right up to the baseboards. Rather than the baseboards sitting on top of the tile.
Guess we've decided not to take out the casing around the front door or the door to the hallway. When we replace the doors they'll have to come out. And you know what that means. More caulk removal taking off the drywall paper. But this time it will have the new paint on it. But we just don't have time to get new doors in too.
Tomorrow we have appointments to meet our new doctor. Just a "get to know you" physical for each of us. The best part is that it means we get a few hours off. :) Actually we're taking Wednesday off to go to the local flea market. We plan to take one day off a week. Alissa and Molly are going to join us which will make it even more fun. Molly is now feeding herself. She really seems to love everything Alissa gives her. We were there last night for dinner and she had chicken, cooked carrots, cheese and fruit. We were all at a party given by our realtor's office the night before. Molly eat a lot of hard boiled egg whites. She really loved it.
