ORINDATore out the raised bed garden that was on the side of the house in Orinda. We had given the tenants permission to build the garden. Hind sight is 20/20. The juniper and oleanders in these first 2 pictures got trimmed way back.
These next two pictures are of the back hill after Bruce did the weed whacking. Imagine it covered in knee high dead grass. Again, we told the tenants we'd take care of the back hill. We don't fault the tenants for anything thing they did in the Orinda house. When they moved in 3 years ago we told them there wasn't really anything they could do to hurt the house. (We knew then it was a "tear down". And yet they took better care of the house than the tenants did in the beautiful Walnut Creek house. Those tenants were about as rough on a house as anything we've seen. And this is coming from people who did property management in Berkeley! Well, except for the tenant we had (back in the '80s) that had their PG&E turned off so built a fire on a piece of sheet metal in the middle of the living room floor. But amount of candle wax all over our walls, hardwood floors and carpet (in the Walnut Creek house) come pretty close.
Picture to the left are the new LED lights in the Walnut Creek house.
