Another trip to Lowe's. Now that Home Depot doesn't give us the "Lowe's discount" when using the Home Depot card, we're using Lowe's more often. Bought more wire.
I went to my applique group in the morning. I so enjoy being around other quilters once a week. The guild meeting here is during the day which I find hard to get used to.
Bruce worked on electrical all day.
Friday, January 29th
I babysat Molly in the morning at their house while the kids went to a teacher parent meeting. It was nice to have just some one on one time with Miss Molly.
Bruce continued to work on the electrical. Don't think most people realize how much wire runs through their walls.
The kids treated us to a night at the Aloha Steakhouse for our 45th wedding anniversary. Can you believe it's been that long? Looking back I realize what a wonderful life it's been together. If fate hadn't landed us at the same place at the same time all those many years ago...well I just can't imagine any other life.
Saturday, January 30th
Back to Lowe's for more wire, outlets, covers and miscellaneous electrical supplies. We should buy stock! Stopped at the kids and borrowed Nick's nailer. How much faster does that make the work!
Bruce got some of the bracing in between the rafters.
Sunday, January 31st
I worked on my 3 quilt patterns that I still hope to publish. Got the layouts all set up the same. After the kitchen is finished I'm hoping Bruce will give his stamp of approval so I can pass them along to Alissa. There are still several people out there that keep asking me when they can buy my patterns.
Monday, February 1st
Bad at the ranch. Bruce cut the hole for one of the pendants off by 1/2". A trip to Lowe's for a smaller electrical box we're hoping will solve the problem rather than patching. He continued working on electrical. Told you, you'd be amazed about the amount of wiring it takes.
Tuesday, February 2nd
Yes, more electrical. Got all the boxes (though these are round) in for the pendant lights.
Wednesday, February 3rd
Cut the upper corner of the entry wall away. Our eating counter will open up at that point. It will let in more light to that side of the kitchen.
Thursday, February 4th
I got the morning off to go to my applique group. My favorite day of the week.
Bruce went to Home Depot to buy more studs for the peninsula and some insulation for the walls.

Friday, February 5th
Installed the outside lights timer in the wall socket in the entry. I got the job of reading all the instructions and got it set up.
Bruce got the blocking in at the corner where he removed the upper half of the wall.
I cut the insulation tubing and got all the hot water pipes covered except the few around the drain pipe...which has to be replaced first.
We had a nice dinner out with the kids and Molly at Wood Ranch. Yummy BBQ baby back ribs!
Saturday, February 6th
Bruce re-cut the top board for the peninsula wall. This time with no $%#^. He got the wall built and the electrical boxes put in. The wall is just leaning against another wall for the time being. He has to finish building out the notched wall to attach the peninsula wall to it. He may not put it in until we have cabinets to help support it. Not sure.
We took a field trip to a flooring place downtown. Saw a number of tiles that I like. Still feel we need to settle on a counter top before choosing the flooring. Though we're going to go with a light beige, neutrally color.
Sunday, February 7th
Just did odds and ends in the morning. It's SUPER BOWL Sunday after all! Congrats to Peyton Manning for his 200th win.

| We have ceiling! |
Bruce and I went and bought sheet rock for the ceiling and joint compound. Nick came over and the two of them got the ceiling up. YEA! It's rebuilding time!
