Guest Bath - Stand still

Moved in 6 months ago today!

Yesterday we got the furniture back in the guest bedroom.  It's looking very nice and I hope welcoming!   We have a queen bed in the room, but our antique head board.  It's going to be mounted to the wall since it's a double bed size.   Have an old steamer trunk there to put your suit case and empty drawers in the dresser for your clothes.  Also have a custom made vanity that belongs to Alissa.

 

We still have minor things to do, like getting a door knob and handles for the closet.   We've found a great place on-line to get door knobs.  Used them to replace all the exterior knobs in the WC house.  Haven't settle on the interior knobs for down here yet.

 

We also "picked" up the house yesterday and for the first time the house doesn't seem so much like a work site.  Unfortunately, what will be Bruce's office is a dump at the moment.  Still waiting for a warm weekend to have a garage sale.  So not only do we have our stuff but Alissa & Nick's too.  Plus the huge roll top is in there - in pieces.

 

Reading a new book

Waiting for the flooring to arrive from Home Depot for the bathroom.   It came 10 days ago, but one of the boxes had the corners crushed.  Arrival date is estimated for the 22nd.  Hoping it will get here sooner.

 

Think our next priority is getting a water softener and filter installed in the garage.  After that we'll work on the "TV" room.  I posted the plans for that earlier.

And of course, we've spent a lot of time with Miss Molly and her mother.  Made a trip out to Ikea in Burbank one day.  Got ideas for our kitchen.  Alissa bought some shelving units for her family room to store Molly's toys.
