Another three months have gone by; seems like it goes faster as we get older.
The kids backyard looks wonderful. Sod is down and plants are in. Hopefully we'll have more rain this winter to help keep everything green.
Alissa and I had our traditional mother daughter lunch and movie out for our birthdays. It was a perfect day.
October is always Pacific International Quilt Festival time. Went up to Santa Clara on Wednesday and came back Monday morning. So many beautiful quilts. And of course vendors with such wonderful things to buy. Had a great time with Selma, as always.
The explosion that caused us so much damage also affected the rental property we just purchased. Unfortunately, they were too lazy to fill out the paper work and get reimbursed. Bruce spent time in October fixing their blown outlets and replacing their burnt out water softener. Not too bad; just wish they had had Edison pay for it instead of us.
Thanksgiving is next week. Nick has switched from B shift to C shift recently, so will have to work on Thanksgiving day. The kids will be going to his Mother's house in Calabasas on Wednesday for turkey. I'll cook one on Thanksgiving and have the girls here. For some reason we bought a 21 pounder. Haven't had that big of turkey for years. Guess the kids will get lots of left overs too.
Molly will be 4 in a week. Hard to believe. She's the smartest little girl. Not prejudice at all. She was telling us the other day that dinosaurs are extinct. She also named all the planets and told us about each one. She explained how the asteroids caused craters. She and her Daddy watch a lot of science shows together. Such a little sponge, soaking up everything. Hope it continues as she grows up.

Bruce painted and hung "picture rails" in the living room and my sewing room. They look so nice. Hung my last "Blockhead" quilt since it's a Christmas quilt. And the Wheel of Mystery quilt I started the day the electrical meter blew up.
We met with Ronni down at The Kitchen Places and selected wood cabinets for the kitchen. Still working on the design. We have another appointment on Monday.
Poor Molly got the stomach flu 2 days before her birthday. Party has been rescheduled for this morning. I started this page 2 weeks ago and didn't get it posted. We'll be heading to the kids around 9 this morning for Molly's party. It's a PJ and donut party!
