Foggy, foggy and more foggy. Hate driving (or riding) in the fog. Fortunately, it only made the trip up a half an hour longer than normal.
We got quite a few major things done this trip. Bruce got the new hall bathroom door put up. No more holes in the doors now.

I put the pool table on Craig's List and it was gone by Saturday at noon. A very nice young man and his two brothers bought the table. There Mother is a professional pool player so I know they'll get a lot of good use out of the table. They had it disassembled in a mere 2 hours. It was amazing to watch. Room looks so big. Just like it did before we got the table.![]() |

Bittersweet letting it go. Lots of fun memories. Family and friends, kids and holidays. Late nights with just Bruce and me playing.
Also got rid of my Speed Queen dryer on Craig's list. Done well using the list.
We got the front and back stucco painted. Took longer to decide on the color than doing the painting. Couldn't get the back end of the house done because it rained and the ladder would have sunk in the mud. Bruce plans to use the sprayer on the back.

January 29th we celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary. The day before we took a train down to San Diego. It's a 5 hour trip by train....over 3 by car depending on traffic. This way Bruce could relax too and watch the scenery. Not that there was much most of the way. We did see a few towns we'd like to go explore though. We stayed a the renovated Cosmopolitan Hotel. It's located in Old Town. Lots of shops, restaurants all done up in old west style. Even the shop keepers were dressed the part. We had a nice time. Not to mention a great margarita.

The kids picked us up at the train station. Think Miss Molly liked the big train. She's one of the reasons we took it. To see how it was and maybe someday take her. Nick and Alissa made us a nice dinner to complete our celebration. Alissa also put together a "goody bag" for the trip. Full of champagne and sweets.
Thought I'd better get this posted since we're making another trip north in 2 days.
