Bruce made this trip alone. I stayed home and did some Molly sitting and had some nice alone-time.
The termite guy inspected the house. Said the house was in great shape. There were 2 rotted shingles near the down spouts; but nothing major. He did find a pile of lumber under the house that had been buried for years. It's not the first pile to be discovered. Years ago we found a huge pile in the back yard that had been bulldozed over. Another great contractor moment. And yes, we paid for all this wood that they so nicely buried. We probably paid for more because they didn't know they had buried it. Jeez!
Took all the old paint cans and other chemicals to the hazardous waste yard. We're leaving the exterior paint and any paint that matches the walls inside for touch ups.
Unfortunately one of the six of our pine trees didn't survive the tenant occupation of not watering anything. These are the trees at the far end of the property. We got them as just seedlings from the CA state fair years ago when Ron was working at the fair. Kept them in buckets for a few years and then planted them. They're taller then house now. The dear love sleeping under them.
That and all the other yard waste plus odds and ends from both houses went to the dump.
